Repeat Impressions Project of the week-Faux Airbrushing background technique

Hi everyone, I can't believe that i almost forgot to post my Project of the week for Repeat Impressions Stamps. Today, i would like to share a simple background technique with all of you that i call a Faux Airbrushed Background.

Supplies needed to create
Repeat Impressions Stamp- 1711-K, Lupine
Acrylic Block
White Copic friendly cardstock
Black ink pad- This is a ranger archival black
Copic Markers
Washi tape
Rectangle Spellbinder die
Distress inks in Broken china and Forest Moss
Die Cut Machine- Mine is a Big Shot
Scrap paper
Stippling Brushes

1. Take your black ink pad, Stamp, Block, and White cardstock.  Stamp the image onto the cardstock.

2.  Color the image as desired. I used copic markers to color mine.

3.  Take your Spellbinders Rectangle die and using your die cut machine, cut it out. After running it through the Big shot, leave the cardstock in the die and flip to the backside. Put a piece of tape on the back of the die and image to keep it from moving. Flip over to the front again. Photo 6,7,8,9
4.  Grab your stippling brushes and distress ink. Take your Broken China Distress ink and run the brush through the ink just getting a small amount on the tips of the Bristles. Pounce the excess ink off onto a scrap piece of paper and then run the bristles back and forth over the image to cover. Continue until you get the desired color. Repeat the process using your forest Moss Distress ink.

5. Remove the tape from the die and look at the beautiful frame that you have left and the colors of the background. Now your ready to create your card.
